I work with adults and young adults in individual psychotherapy on a short or long-term basis.  I have a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.  I also can provide consultations, second opinions, and supervision for unlicensed clinicians.

Therapy can be an exciting time of growth

Perhaps you've been considering reaching out for a while, maybe you've just experienced a important event or transition that you'd like to work through or you might be interested in bettering yourself and your quality of life. Regardless of your reason, starting therapy may be a bit daunting for some. Knowing a bit more about the process and what to anticipate can help relieve some of that initial stress.

 

Therapy is a lot like a conversation that's focused on you, your goals, and your life. One of my goals is to make this process more comfortable through a collaborative and warm process; I'll participate in our conversation, especially if you're having trouble figuring out how to start, where to go, or what to talk about. While I can help guide you through your goals, you are the expert on yourself and I will rely on you to help me understand your experience.

My aim is to eventually bring our work to a close because we've met your goals. How long this takes, how frequently we meet and how we approach the therapy is unique and different for everyone.
